A K&E camp reunion in FL with our beloved camp cooking specialist

Posted by Jason Sebell on Jan 27, 2016 1:30:00 PM

As I wrote in Monday's blog, January seems to be a time when our brother-sister summer camp community has reunions big and small. This coming Saturday we will be hosting a massive camp reunion at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, CT from 5:00-7:00pm, and two weeks ago over 100 campers and counselors joined us for a weekend in the snow up at our campus in NH. There was also a huge camp counselor gathering in UK last week, and a smaller one in Ireland. K&E camp friends get together all over the world!

A terrific little camp reunion took place at Epcot Center in Orlando, FL this past weekend. Eva (who joined us in 2015), her sister Yaffa (who will have her first summer with us this year), and their family stopped at the Mexico Pavillion in the EPCOT Center World Showcase. Eva had recently learned that Salvador, our beloved camp cooking counselor, was working there and wanted to see him. She and her family stopped by where he was working twice, but he wasn't there either time. Their luck changed on their third visit, and yet another K&E family reunion took place!

Salvador ran an incredible cooking program this past summer. Take a look at some of the cool cooking projects he did with our campers!
