For as long as anyone can remember, our summer camp in New Hampshire has offered our campers 1 hour of unstructured fun and play time after dinner. We call it Free Play. We believe that giving children the opportunity to explore and interact with each other during unstructured time is vital for proper social and emotional development.
Our summer camp community likes to get together throughout the year, and we are thrilled to announce the dates of many of our upcoming parties, reunions and camp special events!
The Camps Kenwood and Evergreen community includes families of many faith traditions, and we celebrate our diversity, which strengthens and enriches us all. For those of our families that are part of the Jewish faith tradition, we wanted to let you know about an interesting opportunity for your 3rd to 6th grade children that will be occurring during the Jewish High Holidays at Everwood Day Camp, our sister day camp in Sharon, MA.
The incredible summer of 2015 at our camp in New Hampshire is sadly now over, which means that we have all had to get back to our “real” lives. Most campers have returned to school by now, and our staff is either back at their off-season jobs or resuming their studies. I know that I speak for everyone on the Camp Leadership Team when I say that we all miss our community very much. We miss the hugs and high fives of morning assembly, the laughter and cheering that wafts through the trees throughout each camp day, and singing Taps together each night before bed.
