Our post-Camp Alumni Reunion was about celebrating all things in the Kenwood and Evergreen community, but most importantly, it was a chance to tell our friend Phyllis Dank how much we love her. Phyllis started here as a camper at the age of 6, and has spent 66 glorious summers as everything including counselor, unit leader, head counselor and co-director.
We woke up to another warm summer morning here at Camp. As we stood at morning assembly we marveled at the dozens and dozens of beautiful butterflies that fluttered around the flagpole and landed on our pink and purple flowers. Just like yesterday's visit from the geese, it was a lovely way to start a summer day here in New Hampshire.
Sign up begins today for our Camp Alumni Reunion scheduled for this August 18 - 20, 2017. Based on the emails and phone calls we got from when we announced this event this looks to be the biggest Camp Alumni Reunion in our summer camp's 87 year history!
Are you interested in making this year's Camps Kenwood and Evergreen Reunion the biggest and best ever? We will be celebrating Phyllis's incredible camp career as well as coming together as a community, and we need your help! We are looking for 6-10 people who have an interest in serving on the Recruitment Committee. Below is a description for what we need these committee members to do, and you can let me know you are interested by leaving a comment below or emailing me at stephanie@kenwood-evergreen.
Our brother-sister summer camp in NH is deep into its reunion season. In recent weeks we've had events for campers and counselors in Westchester, New York and Beijing, China! To learn more about the exciting camp reunions we have scheduled for December and January please click on the link below.
