For as long as anyone can remember, our summer camp in New Hampshire has offered our campers 1 hour of unstructured fun and play time after dinner. We call it Free Play. We believe that giving children the opportunity to explore and interact with each other during unstructured time is vital for proper social and emotional development.
The first 2014 off-season event for our brother-sister summer camp community
It's time for our brother-sister summer camp's first off-season event of the fall! Each September a charity golf tournament is held to raise the money necessary to fund the tuition of the Mickey’s Kids campers. The 13th annual tournament will take place on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Wayland Country Club. The easiest and fastest way to sign up to play is to register online.
A brother-sister camp is a hybrid: it’s not quite coed and it’s not quite single gender. A brother-sister camp is actually two separate camps that come together from time to time for joint activities. Camp Kenwood for Boys and Camp Evergreen for Girls are both single gender camps that exist on the same property. Our campers never spend time in the living areas of the other camp, and they take different pathways to and from activity areas.
