We talk a lot about Camp Friends. How they love you unconditionally, how they know you on such a deep, profound level, and how the friendships forged at our overnight camp in NH seem to last forever. This photo below would be a classic example of how powerful and long lasting Kenwood and Evergreen friendships are.
We have some amazing camp counselors and I want the world to know how thoughtful, passionate, and committed they are to providing our campers with the best summer experiences possible. Throughout the year I ask our coaches, art teachers, and bunk counselors to write about why they love what they do, and why they get so much out of working in our summer camp community.
The incredible summer of 2015 at our camp in New Hampshire is sadly now over, which means that we have all had to get back to our “real” lives. Most campers have returned to school by now, and our staff is either back at their off-season jobs or resuming their studies. I know that I speak for everyone on the Camp Leadership Team when I say that we all miss our community very much. We miss the hugs and high fives of morning assembly, the laughter and cheering that wafts through the trees throughout each camp day, and singing Taps together each night before bed.
