While our summer camp in NH doesn't require our campers to wear a uniform we do know that many of our kids, camp counselors, camp parents and alumni love to show their camp spirit by wearing clothing with our different logos. In yesterday's blog I mentioned that I have been working to redesign some of our camp clothing items, and included a link to see what I was thinking about for our summer camp for girls.
We asked members of our camp staff if they wanted to share their thoughts about our brother/sister community, and many, many have said yes, so each week this fall we have published articles by our different camp counselors. This week we are thrilled to share another piece written by Josh Williams, a long time counselor and unit leader at our summer camp for boys.
So many of our campers tell us that being a part of the Kenwood & Evergreen community brings them a true sense of belonging. They know that they have made real, long-lasting friendships with people who like them for who they are. As camp directors we know that a huge component of this stems from the culture that our counselors and group leaders foster each and every day of the summer.
