The start of camp is just over 100 days away, and we know that both parents and campers are getting really excited. We also know that even our returning campers have tons of questions as they prepare for the summer of 2015. Preparing Your Child For The Future

Just after our summer season ended this incredible piece appeared in the Huffington Post. It was written by Todd Kestin, LCSW and Life Skills Mentor, and it is an exceptionally thoughtful essay about the massive impact overnight camp can have on a child. In just over 1,000 words he articulates the many 21st century skills that he was able to develop during his time as both a camper and a counselor: independence, resilience, critical problem solving, leadership, and the ability to find greater meaning through helping others.
