We are excited to announce a very special event coming up in the Greater Boston area. On Sunday, October 25th please join us from 11 am - 3pm for the annual Halloween Family Festival and Fundraiser at our sister camp Everwood Day Camp in Sharon, MA.
The Camps Kenwood and Evergreen community includes families of many faith traditions, and we celebrate our diversity, which strengthens and enriches us all. For those of our families that are part of the Jewish faith tradition, we wanted to let you know about an interesting opportunity for your 3rd to 6th grade children that will be occurring during the Jewish High Holidays at Everwood Day Camp, our sister day camp in Sharon, MA.
On this 4th Saturday of the summer our brother-sister summer camps slept in. We like to let our campers and counselors recharge their batteries on the weekend, so everyone slept an hour late.
Rope Burning is an amazing special event at our summer camp
Today was Truce Day for Camp Kenwood's Color War. Our boys took a day off from this week's special event. Evergreen continued with day #3 of their Color War. Tonight was one of the favorite events of the entire summer: Rope Burning. While our younger campers watched and cheered our 15-year old Juniper girls took part in a race to see which team could build a fire tall and strong enough to burn a rope suspended 10 ft in the air. I shot and edited a video of tonight's event (actually, I used 5 different cameras so that I could get the proper angles for you to truly understand how awesome this amazing special event is). I hope that you enjoy it!
Another Amazing Special Event At Our Brother-Sister Summer Camp In NH
As a brother-sister summer camp in NH, our boys and girls spend their weekdays doing their own thing. Campers in each camp participate in the same activities – team and individual sports, visual and performing arts, and all sorts of waterfront and adventure activities – just not together. The weekends are when we bring our two camps together for some of our amazing special events.
